Terms & Conditions

The plain-language terms covering studio bookings, payments, warranty cover and customer conduct.

About these terms

These terms govern bookings made at Hivemint Auto Care Sdn Bhd (Reg. No. 1382647-K), trading as Hivemint Auto Care. By dropping off a vehicle at our studio you confirm that you have read and agreed to them.

Booking, quotation and confirmation

  • Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date they are issued.
  • A booking is held when we receive a deposit of 30 % for any treatment priced above RM 700. Smaller bookings are held against a confirmed drop-off date.
  • If a treatment is rescheduled within 48 hours of the drop-off date, the deposit moves to the new date. Cancellations within that window forfeit the deposit.

Final pricing

The on-page price for a treatment is a starting point for a typical sedan in good condition. Final price is confirmed in writing after the inspection. If we find the work needed is materially different from the booking, we will pause and seek your approval before continuing.

Vehicle condition at drop-off

  • Personal items must be removed from cabin and boot. We are not responsible for valuables left in the vehicle.
  • Tell us at drop-off about any aftermarket modifications such as vinyl wraps, paint protection film, retrofitted leather, or pending bodywork repairs.
  • The studio reserves the right to refuse a booking if the vehicle is deemed unsafe to work on (for example, leaking fuel, exposed wiring or unsecured bodywork).

Payment

Balance is due on handback. We accept FPX online transfer, DuitNow QR, debit card and credit card. Cash is accepted but not preferred. Receipt is issued automatically by email to the address on file.

Warranty

Each treatment carries the warranty stated on its service page. Warranty is non-transferable and tied to the vehicle’s registration plate as recorded at booking. To remain in warranty the car must complete the recommended maintenance washes at our studio (free of charge) within the documented intervals.

Liability

We carry public liability and professional indemnity insurance covering work performed on customer vehicles. Liability is capped at the documented current market value of the affected component, up to a maximum of RM 250,000 per claim. We do not accept liability for pre-existing defects identified at the inspection stage and disclosed to you before work commenced.

Customer conduct

The studio is a working environment with chemicals and heavy machinery. For your safety we ask that you remain in the waiting area unless escorted into the bay. Verbal abuse of any team member is grounds for immediate refusal of further service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be referred to the courts of Selangor.
