A wash done the way detailing forums actually recommend.
Most quick washes finish in under twenty minutes because they skip the parts that matter. We do not. The full hand wash sequence below is what every Hivemint booking starts with, even when it is part of a larger detail.
- Pressure rinse to flush loose grit before any touch contact.
- pH-neutral snow foam pre-soak (eight to twelve minutes dwell).
- Wheel barrels, faces and arches treated with a non-acidic gel.
- Iron remover applied panel by panel until contamination bleeds clear.
- Two-bucket wash with grit guards and a fresh lambswool mitt.
- Compressed-air dry on shut lines, then a plush twist-loop towel.
- Hand-applied spray sealant for a buffed finish and water beading.
Automatic tunnels save you ten minutes and cost you the finish.
Soft brushes are still brushes
Even modern foam strips drag particles across paint at high speed. Over a year that is hundreds of micro-scratches.
Aggressive chemistry
Strong alkaline solutions in tunnels strip waxes and dull plastic trim faster than they should.
Shared water
Tunnel recirculation systems carry contamination from the cars before yours straight onto your clear coat.
Hot drying tunnels
Forced-air heat dries cleaning chemicals onto trim, leaving streaks that a real wash would never produce.
One car, one price — no fine print.

Quick answers about the hand wash.
How often should I book one?
Every fortnight is a good cadence for daily drivers in the Klang Valley. If your car spends a lot of time under trees or near construction, weekly is fair.
Do you use water-saving methods?
Yes. Our pressure rinse runs at 90 bar, well below tunnel-grade pressures, and we use foam dwell to limit physical agitation. A typical sedan uses around 80 litres including wheels and arches.
Can you remove tar and tree sap during a wash?
Light tar and fresh sap will normally be lifted by our citrus pre-soak. Older, heat-baked deposits may need a dedicated chemical decontamination, which is quoted as an add-on after inspection.
Block out a Saturday morning slot.
Saturday before lunch is our busiest window. Get ahead of the queue by reserving the night before.
